Bahaha :) Okay, so really only the "Feelin' 22" part was the theme of my day. Nothing else in the song really applies to me at all. Haha :) Breakfast at midnight some other time though? :)
A murder mystery been on my "party list" for ages, but I've never gotten around to throwing one (probably because there are too many other ideas on my party list haha). So even though we were planning to do Harry Potter movie parties every Friday and Saturday in October, when my friend asked if we'd be available for a murder mystery, I told her I would rearrange my schedule to be there! Haha :) When the actual invitation came, I was super impressed because it was so themed and legit! Diana went above and beyond -- the kit they bought (from Night of Mystery ) came with invitations, but she had someone design different ones that were so awesome. Girl knows how to get the party started right from the get-go! I had heard about and seen other murder mysteries before, and the main thing I always heard about was people dressing up. It was so fun to arrive at Diana and Michael's and find that everyone had really gone all out with their costumes! Wigs,...
As I said last week, I had a PREception --a reception the night before my wedding--which was the best decision ever. Why? Because it meant that I got to really just enjoy my wedding day, without having any stress about trying to fit everything into one day or about something going wrong. Nothing could go wrong . . . it was my wedding day! Our wedding was scheduled for about 2pm, so I had the whole morning to get ready and make sure I had everything packed for the honeymoon. Russ and I then drove up to the Salt Lake City temple together. Our wedding ceremony was small in comparison to many. We had only our parents, our siblings (except Chantry because she hasn't been through the temple), grandparents, aunts and uncles, and a few friends. Sadly, none of my best friends or cousins closest to my age could be there because they hadn't gone through the temple, either. But two of Russ's best friends from his childhood (Brad and Curtis) and one of his favorite mission companio...
Ohhhh getaway weekends. I'm not about painting a picture-perfect life on this little blog of mine. I paint the real thing--real life, real love, ya know? ;) Which, granted, is usually pretty great, but somehow, our getaway weekend started off not-so-perfect. For starters, I was supposed to pick Russ up from work at 2pm so that we would get to Logan (2-hour drive) before dinnertime. We only had about 24 hours of getaway, so I wanted to make the most of every minute! Unfortunately, everything on Friday morning went slower than expected, so not only did I not get to Russ until 3:30, but by that time I didn't even have make-up on or my hair done cute. Talk about looking good for the getaway, right? But we got on the road and got over it, mostly because Russ is nice. He wasn't mad that I was late, and he didn't care that I didn't have make-up on. Two points for Russ. The next thing that was wrong was the fact that we were both so tired! We went to bed late on Thurs...
I would please like to see your hipster outfit from the day. And if you need breakfast at midnight I might be down...
