thankful

Wahoo! Thanksgiving is almost here! I've already had two plus a third time of leftovers, but I'm still excited :)

We brought back Tomothy the Thankful Turkey this year, and he's filled out quite nicely with feathers :) Turns out Russ was right . . . smaller feathers looks better.


I haven't done any thankful posts yet this November, so I'm going to do one today, about the things I'm thankful for that are coming up in the next week!
  • Time Out For Women! I'm thankful I get to go again this year; I'm thankful for my mama for paying for it; I'm thankful I get to go with my mom, sis-in-law, grandma, aunt, and cousin/best friend!; I'm thankful that we're going to eat at the Cheesecake Factory for dinner along with the event!; I'm thankful my husband lets me go on girlie weekend trips without him, though I'll miss him :)
  • Boise! I'm thankful that Russ and I get to go visit family in Boise; I'm thankful for all the fun we're going to have being together!; I'm thankful for the best in-laws in the entire world. So lucky :)
  • Seattle! I'm thankful we get to go visit Shayne and Steph!; I'm thankful that almost the whole Holmes family will be together (we'll miss Lance and Mackenzi, but they'll be busy HAVING A BABY!); I'm thankful that I get to see what a Thanksgiving meal with Stephanie is like--that girl can cook!; I'm thankful for all the fun plans we have for Seattle!
Basically, I'm just excited to have so much fun with so many awesome people! YAY! Haha do you think I have enough exclamation points in this post? I'm just a little excited!!!!! ;)

our first murder mystery

A murder mystery been on my "party list" for ages, but I've never gotten around to throwing one (probably because there are too many other ideas on my party list haha). So even though we were planning to do Harry Potter movie parties every Friday and Saturday in October, when my friend asked if we'd be available for a murder mystery, I told her I would rearrange my schedule to be there! Diana went above and beyond -- the kit they bought (from  Night of Mystery ) came with invitations, but she had someone design different ones that were so awesome. Lately I have been looking for a nice purse. I always carry a bag around, and so I want something that looks nicer and more grown-up. Trouble is, I can't make up my mind! So for today's 5 on Friday, I'm showing the options I have. it's a love story {part 5}

This series is turning into a novel! So if you don't want to read  part 1 ,  part 2 ,  part 3 , or  part 4 , I wouldn't blame you. But if you do, there you go :) Part Five - First Date . . . or Second? When we last left off, Russ and I were finally interacting more and we both knew that we liked each other. But he still hadn't asked me on a date! But sometime in early December, he finally remedied that. On a Thursday, he asked me if I would go stargazing with him on the coming Sunday evening. I was super excited :) But in the meantime, he kind of asked me on a different first date, but I didn't really know it.
