Say whatttt?! I'm 24 already? That is complete and utter craziness. I wish I could go back in time and tell 10-year-old me that time does  actually pass. Haha ;) My birthday this year was nothing too exciting. I wanted it to be; I always want it to be! But I'm the worst at coming up with fun plans for myself. Everything I think of always seems so "regular" and non-birthday worthy (this is probably why Russ and I have never  been on a bowling date in the 4.5 years we've been dating . . . it's such a "regular" date! But apparently, not for us. You know, since we haven't done it. [By the way, that's not me bagging on bowling, that's just me explaining my weird brain. I like bowling, even though I suck at it. And if you go on bowling dates, I'm totally not judging you. Promise. I'm just weird! Okay I'll stop overexplaining now.]) so then I end up doing nothing at all. It's a horrible cycle, and I'm COMMITTED to having a

busy, lovely weekend {including mother's day}

We had a crazy, busy weekend two weeks ago , and we just kept that vibe going last weekend. Friday On Friday my work treated all employees to Captain America: Civil War  during the last few hours of the work day (getting paid to see a movie? yes please!). Last minute they sent out an email saying they had extra tickets if we wanted to bring a +1, so I invited Russ along and we started date night early. Following the movie, Lacey called us and asked us if we'd be interested in having dinner with her and her new boyfriend. I definitely wanted to meet this kid! We had J Dawgs for dinner and Culver's custard for dessert, all while talking and getting to know each other. It was a lot of fun! I had plans for date night, but after all that talking, I was tired and it was late-ish (like 8) so we decided to call it a night. Actually, we decided I would go to my parents' house to start setting up garage sale stuff, and Russ would go home haha :) It worked out though, because t

laundry room makeover

I'm not one who is super into painting every room in the house. I like mostly neutral walls with the color being added in with accessories. However, before we moved into our house last May, I had already decided that I was going to paint the laundry room. It's a small and mostly unimportant room, so I figured even if the color turned out to be crazy, it wouldn't matter too much! In order to make things easy, I painted the room before we had our washer and dryer delivered. Since I'm the one who does the laundry, the laundry room is basically considered my room; however, it's still our  house, so I tried to make sure Russ was on board with my color choice. I wanted a very subtle bluish-mint. I imagined something like this: via When I found the color I wanted, Russ said it looked way too light and that I should do the color underneath on the swatch sheet. I was worried that his choice would be way too dark, and I let Russ know about my concerns, but he see

month 4 {april}

actually got a pic on time! 17 weeks, 5 days How Far Along:  17 weeks 5 days Size: Tangy Pomegranate, creme brulee, a game console controller, and a chipmunk! (not combined, those are just the 4 different themes I can choose from in my app, in case you're late to this bumpdate game ;) ) Gender:  It's a GIRL ! Name: Ada Charlotte :) We've had this name chosen (the first name at least; the middle name is a new addition) since we got married, and in that whole time we've loved it :) I like it because it is cute and feminine but still unique. I've never heard of anyone else naming their girl Ada, and it doesn't show up on any "top 100" lists, though similar names like Adelaide and Adeline do. I'm super hoping it stays that way, but who knows. With my luck it'll probably be in the top 100 for 2016! Haha (With my name as the #1 girl name for my birth year, I've always been hoping to gift my children with names that are
