I love to throw parties, but I don't get the chance (or have the budget!) often enough! However, when one of my good friends, Katie Allan, was having her second baby (but the opposite gender of her first baby), I jumped at the chance to throw her a little baby sprinkle :) And it turned out pretty great, if I do say so, myself :D I browsed Pinterest for ideas, and re-created this invitation. I was initially thinking I'd create a photo backdrop, which is why I hung the gold sheet, but then we didn't end up using it that way, so I probably would have liked the whole set-up better if I had just let the natural window light come through here, but oh well :) For refreshments, we had an ice cream bar along with a sprinkle-covered cake. Apparently, a lot of people don't decorate for Thanksgiving. And honestly, I can see why, because over the years as I've browsed Pinterest for ideas, it's honestly way harder to find decor I like for Thanksgiving than it is to find decor for Halloween or Christmas. There's a lot of fall decor, but I like decor that is more specifically "Thanksgiving." A few years ago, I made a Thanksgiving Turkey art piece that I still love. I also did the gold-tipped feather garland, "so blessed" pumpkin, bunch of wheat, and filled hurricane vase in past years. But this year I really finished up the whole Thanksgiving look with my pie garland , "thanks and giving" printable , and my "thankful" garland. I love to decorate for holidays. I do the most for Christmas, but I also enjoy decorating for other holidays. Usually my decor is limited to the mantel, with the possibility of a garland over the living room window and/or a wreath on the front door, but I think I'm kind of starting to expand some decorations so that they're creeping into other areas of the house, too. So far, my Halloween decorations aren't too out of hand, but there are enough that I wanted to compile all the pics in once place :) ^^This piece is new this year! one balloon for one year of life :) In theory, I love  planning parties . I say "in theory," because I don't get to throw big parties all the time -- they take time, money, and guests, which I don't always have! The last extravagant party I had was a tea party I threw for my best girlfriends, and that was 2.5 years ago!
