2018 year in review

The themes of 2018 have definitely been change and growth. We’ve experienced trials, we’ve experienced joy, and through both, we’re becoming who our Savior intends us to be. In February, after four years of working at Omadi, Russ was laid off . Although it was a shock, it turned out to be a blessing since it gave Russ the push he needed to finally follow his lifelong dream of becoming a pilot. He started flight school in March and began working on a flight line (fueling, moving, and servicing airplanes) in May. What a year 2017 has been! We have loved further settling in to our little family of three. As Russ put it the other night, we fit perfectly together as a family J Ada is the joy of our lives. She now has four teeth and many skills. Lately she’s climbing down stairs and taking quite a few steps. She’ll probably be a full-time walker by the end of the month. She loves giving high-fives, blowing kisses, and clapping, and she recently started giving hugs around the neck (the best!). She loves people – she’s definitely a little extrovert. Her smile and laugh are our favorite things, and she gives those away freely (a...

It seems like it was just yesterday that I was  recapping 2015 , lamenting the fact that we still weren't pregnant after a year and a half of trying. But shortly thereafter, in January, we found out that we were finally pregnant! And that  little  baby has dominated our thoughts and lives ever since :) It was so exciting to finally experience  pregnancy . I'm one of the lucky ones who didn't really have to deal with sickness or food aversions; my biggest complaints were simply being HUGE and having swollen feet. The best parts about pregnancy were the super ...
