afternoon tea

I've said it before and I'll say it again--one thing I love about having a bucket list is that it makes me plan things and do things that I might not otherwise do. Such is the case with this item: Have a tea party--complete with hats and/or gloves!

There was no real reason for putting this item on my list other than it sounded like a fun theme for a party. I loved the idea of dressing up and eating pretty food! I kept the party small, just inviting a few of my college best friends, and everything turned out perfectly :)

Also, my brother was kind enough to photograph for me again, and I am so happy with the pictures that he took! He was able to capture everything wonderful about this tea party :) Also, he returned the pictures to me in less than 48 hours! Which is a big deal because this week is the last week of classes and he is going out of town, too, but he still made time to get them back to me quickly. What a nice brother I have :)

Also on my list is to sew two projects. Well, here's project #1! I sewed this dress specifically for this party :) (and no, I'm not wearing any sort of nylons, my legs are just freakishly white . . . )

It really was just perfect in every way. I loved this party and I loved sharing it with three of my best friends! :)

    you are such an amazing party planner - i am so impressed you pulled all of this off, really! everything looks gorgeous. and i love that you had your tea party saturday - one of my good friends threw a garden tea party saturday, too. hooray for spring activities!

      Haha well idk about being an amazing party planner--because I'm not sure if one great party would qualify me for that--but I did love how everything turned out for this party, so thanks for the compliments :) And I guess it's just the right time for this sort of party! :)

A murder mystery been on my "party list" for ages, but I've never gotten around to throwing one (probably because there are too many other ideas on my party list haha). Lately I have been looking for a nice purse. I always carry a bag around, and so I want something that looks nicer and more grown-up. Trouble is, I can't make up my mind! it's a love story {part 5}

This series is turning into a novel! So if you don't want to read  part 1 ,  part 2 ,  part 3 , or  part 4 , I wouldn't blame you. But if you do, there you go :) Part Five - First Date . . . or Second? When we last left off, Russ and I were finally interacting more and we both knew that we liked each other. But he still hadn't asked me on a date! But sometime in early December, he finally remedied that. On a Thursday, he asked me if I would go stargazing with him on the coming Sunday evening. I was super excited :) But in the meantime, he kind of asked me on a different first date, but I didn't really know it.
