if you give a mouse a cookie . . .

Have you ever read this book? I remember loving it when I was a kid.

When Russ and I got married, his sister generously gave us her futon because she didn't want/need it anymore. It worked perfectly because it was grey, and the color scheme for our living room was black, grey, and red.

Well, it worked perfectly except for the fact that Russ complained about how uncomfortable it was every time he sat on it ;)

So about a week ago, we decided to finally get a couch. We had four criteria: aesthetically pleasing, very comfortable, reasonable cost, and big enough to fit four people (for when we have friends over). After much searching and many irritating salespeople trying to get a piece of the commission, we found a winner!

But when we brought it back to our apartment, we still had the futon up, so we got to see what the apartment would look like with an L-shaped formation of couches: more seating, more cozy, and more separate from the kitchen.

And we liked it.
A lot.

Except that there was no way I was keeping the not-so-nice futon out next to our really nice new couch because aesthetics was still one of the criteria! So . . .

We bought its brother. And clearly, Russ finds the new couches very comfortable :)

If you give a mouse a cookie, he'll probably ask for a glass of milk.

If Rushley buys a couch, they'll probably want another one.

    1. Haha thanks! The book is pretty great, but I think it's safe to say that I like our couches more than the book ;)
      Thanks for stopping by! :)
